How to Search Dodge County Court Records
The main online access channel is Minnesota Court Records Online, usually called MCRO. Dodge County District Court is part of the Third Judicial District, and MCRO searches public Minnesota district court case records statewide. It offers Case Search, Document Search, Hearing Search, and Judgment Search. There is no separate Dodge County court-record database for District Court case files, so the county filter inside MCRO is the practical way to narrow a statewide search to Mantorville-filed cases.
Before starting, gather the best identifier available: a full legal name, business name, case number, citation number, attorney name, or attorney bar number. MCRO records are not certified court records, and the Judicial Branch directs certified copies and certified civil judgment searches to local court administration.

Types of Dodge County Court Records
Dodge County District Court has original jurisdiction over civil, family, probate, juvenile, criminal, and traffic cases filed in the county. Court Administration manages those divisions from filing through disposition. That does not mean every related public record is held by the same office. Court case copies go through Court Administration, arrest reports go through the Sheriff's Records Department, and marriage certificates go through the Recorder/Land Records office at the Government Services Building.

- Criminal records: complaints, charges, probable cause statements, first appearances, pleas, motions, dispositions, sentences, probation conditions, warrants, and financial obligations.
- Family records: divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, paternity, and related orders, with narrower online document access in MCRO.
- Probate records: estate, guardianship, conservatorship, trust, appointment, inventory, accounting, and closing records, subject to privacy limits.
- Traffic records: citation or violations bureau records, including case number, citation number, charge, plea, hearing, fine, and payment status.
- Judgment records: docketed money judgment information by debtor name, including satisfactions where available.
What Dodge County Court Records Show
A public court record can be a full case file, a Register of Actions entry list, a calendar entry, a public document, or a judgment entry. Records That Are Sealed or Confidential in Dodge County
Not every public courthouse record is available on MCRO. Juvenile delinquency and CHIPS categories have remote limits, public civil commitment documents are not available through MCRO, and Domestic Abuse Order for Protection and Harassment Restraining Order cases are not displayed remotely because of federal VAWA restrictions. Adoption records, sealed records, expunged records, personal identifiers, financial account data, minor identities, and protected private information can be withheld or redacted.

When a file is sealed, expunged, confidential, or not remotely accessible, the correct next step is usually a direct court-administration question or a formal court process rather than repeated online searches.
In-Person Court Record Requests
Dodge County Court Administration is the local access point for certified court copies, older or non-digitized court documents, courthouse-terminal questions, and official hearing questions. The office is at the Dodge County Courthouse in Mantorville. Public business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The courthouse security page states that visitors entering the Public Safety area must pass through weapons screening and that security will not hold prohibited items.
